In this HostGator review we look at how to backup your HostGator site just in case you or the HostGator server does something stupid. The good news here is that HostGator comes all set with web tools to help make sure you NEVER lose your site. How? In the HostGator control panel you have the ability to back up all your HostGator files and databases.
HostGator Backup Procedure
- Sign into the HostGator control panel >BackUp
- Place you email address where where Hostgator will get tback to you with information on the HostGator backup a tar.gz file format. Save this file on your personal computer for safe keeping and make sure you know where to find it if needed.
- Use a FTP client such as Filezilla to transfer the backup files to the Hostgator server. That’s it!
